THIS IS APPLICABLE ONLY FOR VERSIONS LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 2.1.1 of JV-SE.
During the course of operation, JV-SE sends out many emails, some of them to the website administrator and some of them to the partners. Following are the situations and recipients to whom emails are sent by JV-SE:

| 1 | Backend: Admin adds a link or banner using Links Manager | Email is sent confirming the addition of the link or banner along with the URL at which the added link or banner can be found in the directory. | Website Admin |
| 2 | Backend: Admin edits a link and approves or rejects a link exchange request | If approved, email is sent indicating the approval. If rejected, email will contain the rejection message along with the reason for rejection. | Partner |
| 3 | Backend: Admin moves a link or banner from one category to another | When the category changes, the URL in directory where the link will be found will change. Hence the partner will be notified by email about the new category to which the link or banner has been moved to. | Partner |
| 4 | Backend: When the status of a link or banner moves from any state to ESTABLISHED. | ESTABLISHED is the state of approval. Hence email will be sent to the partner when the link goes to ESTABLISHED state. Change of state to ESTABLISHED occurs during reciprocal check using the "Check" option tab in backend or when the status is manually changed at backend. | Partner |

| 7 | Frontend: Partner submits a link exchange request and auto approval is not enabled in JV-SE | When partner submits a link exchange request and auto approval is disabled in backend for JV-SE, an email will be sent the website admin with details about the request and possible action to be taken with instructions. If email approval is enabled, then the link to approve by email will also be available in the email. | Website Admin |
| 8 | Frontend: Send Reminders | A partner who has submited a link exchange request, can manually use the Check Link Status form and check the status of his request anytime. If it is more than 14 days since the request was made, an option will be available in the results screen of the Check Link Status where, he can send a reminder to the website admin. | 9 | Frontend: Recommend website to Admin | When a visitor or website user recommends or suggests a website of similar interest or for a reason, an email will be sent to website admin with the recommended details | Website Admin |
| 10 | Frontend: Tell a friend about a link | An email will be sent to the friend, with the details of the selected link or website. | Friend |
| 11 | Frontend: Review of partner link | When a website user writes a review of a link in the directory, an email will be sent to the website admin. In "Partner Website Review" configuration, if admin approval is disabled, then the email will inform the admin that it is in PENDING state and he can approve or reject it. If it is enabled, then the email will inform the admin about the event. | Website Admin |
| 12 | SRC (Scheduled Reciprocal Check) | SRC is always done via CRON or JCRON or with some scheduler. When the CRON job completes, an email will be sent to the website admin with results of the check and possible actions. | Website Admin |
| 13 | Automatic Approval/Rejection | Links can be configured to be automatically removed if they are waiting for too long (duration is configurable at backend).
