We are super excited to annnounce the commencement of beta testing for JV-PostMaster 3.5. JV-PostMaster (or JV-PM in short) is one of our top quality Joomla! extensions that can automatically or manually post Joomla article data to your accounts in social media websites like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, LinkedIn, JomSocial, and EasySocial, when articles are created or updated. JV-PostMaster can also notify search engines and web services when new articles are created or updated, enabling them to be crawled promptly.
There has been a lot of hard work that has gone into developing JV-PostMaster 3.5 version, which will have some exciting new features. One of the most important features is the ability to post updates to Pinterest. Keep reading to know more about the new features...
Pinterest is a social network that allows users to visually share, and discover new interests by posting (known as 'pinning' on Pinterest) images or videos to their own or others' boards (i.e. a collection of 'pins,' usually with a common theme) and browsing what other users have pinned.
You can now use JV-PostMaster 3.5+ versions to manually or automatically create pins in your Pinterest boards, as you save articles in Joomla. You will be able to configure the message format and article categories for specific boards in Pinterest. You can create pins in multiple boards at the same time too! Pins can be created with article image (main article image or first image embedded in content), a note and optionally a link. Note will be decided by the post message which can be a combination of pre-defined text, or any article tag values like title, description, meta data description etc....
Other minor features introduced in 3.5 include:
- Introduced debug log rotation
- Ability to post cover image in EasyBlog
- Handle automatic saving of drafts with EasyBlog to prevent same item from getting queue multiple times
and ofcourse a number of minor fixes in code.
