We are almost done with development of 2.4, the next version of JV-HelpDesk Pro, and here is a sneak preview of the new features being introduced.
Very often there are cases when you might want to provide software or user manuals or pdf downloads of your products or services to your customers. It will be very handy if the support system that you use has this ability. In version 2.4 of JV-HelpDesk Pro, we are adding this capability. You can create file downloads in HelpDesk system back-end, and associate them with categories. Once the file is published, it will be available for customers to download them in site frontend in the HelpDesk system.
File downloads will be access controlled as well. Only those users who have the permission to create tickets in a category will be able to download files in that category. Here are some screenshots of the file downloads feature:
