We are glad to announce the release of JV-PostMaster version 2.6 today, the 5th of May 2013. Version 2.6 will continue to work on Joomla! 2.5 and is an enhancement and bug fix release. There are some significant new features introduced, the important one being the compatibility of JV-PostMaster with EasyBlog, the most popular blogging component for Joomla!.

EasyBlog Compatibility and Integration - With this integration, JV-PostMaster can now post to social media networks and providers like Twitter, Facebook, JomSocial and ping web services when you save blog posts in EasyBlog in front-end and back-end. JV-PM also has the ability to pick blog posts that are auto generated too!

Twitter API v1.1 Compatibility - Twitter have made some sweeping changes in their API v1.1 and we have now made JV-PostMaster compatible with it. You will notice subtle changes in Twitter module too with new links and icons to retweet, add to favorite and reply to tweets.

New Admin Alerts Module - We have now included a new administrator module in JV-PM which will display alerts in Joomla control panel screen. The various alerts include displaying the number of messages in the queue, alerts if none of the accounts are published, alerts if none of the resource packs are enabled and most importantly if your Facebook token has expired!.

New option to select the image that is posted as a part of article description for Joomla articles - You may now select if you want to post the image from the article content or the article intro image or article description image as you post {article-description} to Facebook!.

Hope you like the changes introduced. Do comment on this blog post.
