We knew that our older customers were not very happy with the switch of our website at jv-extensions.com to Wordpress last year. We experimented that with focus on blogging while we always wanted to continue our focus on building extensions for Joomla! But after trying for 8 months, we are now back to our favorite CMS - Joomla!
We learnt a lot from this switch, and I will share the findings and learnings with the community very soon in a blog post, a real Joomla Vs Wordpress blog post, directly out of first hand experience. But for this post, we are happy to let you know that this website is operating using Joomla, and we are glad to be back. We want to reinforce to our customers, our focus on building Joomla extensions. Here are the major changes at jv-extensions.com after this switch.
Support: You would have noticed that forums are gone, we have a new look and feel for the site, and our ticketing system is back! All the contents from the forum are now available as private tickets in the Help Desk system (powered by JV-HelpDesk). We have also introduced Public tickets in our HelpDesk system which will provide the Forum like experience to our customers. To unify the support experience and ensure that customers can track the support related conversations, we will henceforth use tickets instead of e-mail support and forums.
SendOwl to E-Junkie: We have also moved away from SendOwl to e-Junkie. While SendOwl served the purpose by making it easy for us to collect payments and provide product downloads, we realized that it was not a very easy and smooth experience for our customers. Hence we decided to build our own custom Joomla extension to integrate e-Junkie with our Orders page, where customers can easily download paid products, renew orders, and register website for support.
New Product Releases: If you have not noticed, we have released new versions of JV-PostMaster and JV-ShrinkTheWeb. Customers who have active orders can now download the latest versions from My Account - My Orders page.
We hope you like the new look and feel of the site and the changes we have made. We are excited to hear from you and answer specific questions that you might have!
JV Pins Will you be bringing back JV Pins? I got it before you made the switch to wordpress. Not to happy to get caught without support after buying it. But I am interested in JV Helpdesk...
