Today, we are pleased to launch another Joomla extension - "JV-MailChimp" at JV-Extensions. As the name suggests, this is a Joomla - MailChimp integration extension. With JV-MailChimp you can add a 'Subscribe to Newsletter' option in the Joomla user registration form (create account page). When a user opts to subscribe, JV-MailChimp will work with your account at MailChimp behind the scenes, and add that member to your list.
MailChimp is a simple email marketing software (EMS) which gives you a number of easy options for designing, sending and saving templates of your emails. You can create email lists, add subscribers to the list, send and monitor emails, and track responses. MailChimp offers free and paid account options.
JV-MailChimp increases your user base at MailChimp by prompting users to subscribe at the time of user creation on your website. Build your list effortlessly and seamlessly with JV-MailChimp.
We are starting JV-MailChimp small, but have a roadmap that is expected to add more integration features to the MailChimp - Joomla integration. We aim to make this product the best Joomla MailChimp integration in the future with new features in the coming months.
Current Integration Features:
Today we have released the official 3.1 version of JV-ShrinkTheWeb to our customers. This is a maintenance release with bug fixes in it. These include fixes for local thumbnails, and log rotations. Customers are requested to upgrade to this version at the earliest. Please visit Release Notes for the detailed change log.
Greetings from JV-Extensions!
We are glad to announce the release of JV-ShrinkTheWeb 3.0 for Joomla 3.x. JV-ShrinkTheWeb (JV-STW) 3.0 is a major feature release for JV-ShrinkTheWeb and comes with exciting new features like Local thumbnails, 'Simple' method that can use a Free STW account to fetch thumbnails, ability to fetch URL of preview image, enhanced preview manager and more... Use Free account at ShinkTheWeb !
We have introduced a new option in JV-STW settings in back-end with which you will be able to select between using "Simple" and "Advanced" API methods to fetch thumbnails. Advanced method is the preferred one over Simple method, as you get the advantages of error reporting, avoiding repeated bad requests, obfuscating requests, caching locally, better security, and simpler setup (automatically adding referrers to the "Allowed Referrers" list). This leads to performance boost, redundancy, and lower bandwidth usage/cost. Nevertheless, free account (Simple method) at ShrinkTheWeb has generous limits, good enough for most users, and is recommended if your monthly usage is low, and if you are not keen on caching and reaping its benefits on page loading time.
We are excited to introduce Joomla 3.x native compatibility for JV-ShrinkTheWeb, the free and advanced thumbnail preview extension suite for Joomla!.The 2.0 version released today provides this compatibility and will be developed and supported in parallel to the 1.x versions of JV-ShrinkTheWeb.
The version of JV-ShrinkTheWeb for Joomla 3.x provides an Editor Plugin that inserts a button into the editor (see figure below). The button is called "URL Preview" and clicking on this will open up a pop up window where you can provide the values for parameters for url preview generation. The editor plugin will automatically create the stwpreview tag line and will insert into the content!. So its super easy now to add stwpreview tags into your content!
As you might be aware, JV-ShrinkTheWeb was introduced as a commercial product, given away for free for fixed period time. Owing to the excellent response for the product, and to contribute to the Joomla community, we have decided to keep JV-ShrinkTheWeb completely FREE forever.
Hope you like the latest version of JV-ShrinkTheWeb. If so please do spend a couple of minutes and rate and write a short review about it @ Joomla! Extensions Directory.
